T-Series grabs Chandni Chowk To China music

T-Series has acquired audio rights of Chandni Chowk To China starring Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone. The movie is being produced by Mukesh Taleja, Ramesh Sippy and Warner Bros.

The comedy action flick has been directed by Nikhil Advani and written by Sirdhar Raghvan. The cinematography has been done by V Manikanandan. The music has been given by Shankar Ehsaan Loy and Kailesh Kher while Bappi Lahri has lent his voice for one song in the movie.

The film was shot in China as the name suggests. The movie will see Deepika in a double role.

Akshay Kumar to get a Doctorate

Akshay Kumar has many reasons to celebrate. The man had four releases last year and all the films were superhit at the Box Office. This year, his first release 'Tashan' failed to create the same magic but Akshay did walk away with loads of praises for his performance. The actor will soon be making his appearance on the small screen as well by hosting a reality show called 'Fear Factor- Khatron Ke Khiladi'. And if this was not enough, Akki will now be receiving an honorary doctorate from a Canadian University.

"The University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, will bestow Akshay Kumar with an honorary doctorate on May 9. It's basically for all the social work that he has done in Canada. The University called him up to present him the doctorate," says Akshay's spokesperson.

In the recent past, such kind of honorary doctorates from foreign Universities were given to film personalities like Yash Chopra, Amitabh Bachchan, Shabana Azmi and Shilpa Shetty.

Akshay’s blog banter

Akshay Kumar has been away from India for almost three months. No wonder then that he’s sorely missing home. He says, “I am missing all the action back home. I hear a lot is happening there.”
Tell him that a ‘blog war’ has erupted in his absence and that he might have to quickly start his own blog once he’s back and he says in jest, ‘Main bolega to bolega ki blog ta hai!”
Presently, Akshay is enduring heat in Cairo, where he is shooting for Singh is King. “It has touched 48 degree Celsius here,” he informs. Tell him that we are in a better position ‘weather wise’ than him here in Mumbai and he retorts, “In a day or two I’ll be off to Johannesburg, where the weather will be somewhere between 13 to 14 degrees. So I will be in better position then!”
